Such an incredible tour with Nikolai - a very personal history of what life was like behind the ‘iron curtain’, with a lot of great links on how WW11 decisions created the Cold War, and how the fall out from the Cold War has created the political situation today. 10/10 could not recommend this tour enough.

This was truly a fantastic tour. Our guide Sarah did a great job in blending lots of interesting facts about the life in Berlin during the Cold War with personal stories of people who tried to escape the life behind the wall. The tour itself goes through some places with rich histories (ghost train stations, tunnels under the wall, watch towers etc) which you might otherwise miss simply strolling around.

Our guide, Jim, was outstanding. He was clear and concise and very informative. It was a wonderful varied selected points of interest. It was very well organised and seamless in the movement from one location to another. I particlulary liked each particular aspects of Berlin’s history highlighted. Jim spoke so clearly and with great enthusiasm which was a joy to listen to. He also answered all my questions with additional information I didnt know. I always like to hear information and stories that are not widely known.
