Full description

Visit Auschwitz on a day trip from Krakow. Learn about the history of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps during a guided tour with a certified historian and guide. Auschwitz-Birkenau was founded in 1940 by Nazi Germany and was the largest concentration camp operated by the Nazis. It became the final resting place for millions of people, mostly Jews and Poles, who were murdered in gas chambers. Pass through the gate with the inscription "Arbeit macht frei" to enter Auschwitz I, where your guide will show you around the preserved area and explain the history of the site.

Then, visit the second camp at Birkenau, where mass killings took place as part of the Nazi "Final Solution to the Jewish Question."

Day went smoothly from start to finish. We couldn’t be picked up from our hotel as it wasn’t in the pickup area but it was only a 15 minute walk to the hotel where we could be collected. All info was sent to me the day before. The guides were brilliant and really knowledgeable

Visit to the camp to be done at least once in a lifetime. excellent organization, the camp guide is very prepared and serious for the type of experience it is. Our guide (Gregorio) is a very helpful and kind person, ready to clarify any doubts about the organization. The only flaw of all is that 1 day before they postponed the departure by 1 hour and a half due to the huge turnout at the camp. Tour I also recommend for the seriousness and the quality-price it offers.

The experience was so humbling. So sad to see what happened but so important to see it. The bus pick up and drop off was perfect. Contact with the guide company was so easy. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and so respectful. She answered any questions that were asked. Highly recommend.
