Next, you’ll take familiarization laps around the circuit in a Renault vehicle. During these slow laps, your coach will explain the racing line and how to approach each corner. At this point in your activity you should be ready for the real action. You’ll head back to the pits, where you’ll be further briefed on your car before being tightly strapped in. Prepare to feel every bump, ripple and sensation of the drive. You can be sure that you've never been this connected to a driving machine! Get a grasp of the inner workings of this racing car and experience truly sensational performance first-hand. For 20 minutes For 20 minutes, you’ll be in charge of the paddle shifters, which help shift the gearbox up and down. Two on-board video cameras will capture your drive and allow you to re-live the action later on.

Then it’s time to buckle up and hit the track. Following your instructor’s lead, you’ll learn the correct racing line and practice handling the complex turns of the circuit. During the driving session, the challenge is to improve your racing technique. At the end of your session, the instructor will provide you with some detailed feedback and discuss how you might improve your technique. Spectators and friends are welcome to relax and watch your experience.

Make your own way to the Yas Marina Drag Strip and get a technical briefing from the Yas Drag Racing Centre’s chief instructor before you climb into the seat of your car. Hear all the safety regulations and get some reaction training in the reaction simulator room. Learn about the “Christmas Tree” lighting signal system and how to manage your reaction times. Your instructor will be at the wheel on the first test run, and will brief you on staging, braking zones and the finish line. Then, climb into the driver's seat for the second run, and take control of the car. Your instructor will be in the passenger seat to assess your handling and control of the vehicle. Provided you manage this well, you will be permitted to take the remainder of your runs on your own without the instructor in the car. Your instructor will watch your performance at all times and brief you following each of your 5 runs.
