Indulge in a delicious 3-course meal for lunch or dinner inside the former first class waiting rooms which have been renovated to their elegant and glamorous interior of the late 19th Century. Feel the historic atmosphere inside this hidden gem as you sit down to dine on your choice of dishes from an enticing menu. Grand Café Museum Restaurant 1e Klas, dating from 1885, is located on platform 2B and occupies the space which formerly housed the first-class passengers' waiting rooms. The restaurant space was designed by Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers, whose work includes the iconic Rijksmuseum as well as the entire Amsterdam Central Station. Admire the architecture inside the restaurant which has been thoughtfully and elegantly renovated to give you the glamorous ambiance of yesteryear as you savor some of the restaurant's delicious offerings.

Everything was good and the restaurant is amazing. The interiors are perfect as they were and the waiters really kind. Maybe from a first class cafe, I expected to have more A first Class menu, and not a plastic one and same for what we ordered, that was all good, but not a “First class” menu.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere at this very interesting and beautiful place. The food was very good although the different courses came very fast. As soon as you finished one course the next one was in front of only within a few minutes. We'd enjoyed it maybe a bit more without the rush. But overall it was a wonderful experience and we can recommend going there.

We recommend! Extravagant ambience and very nice staff. As the first guests who booked this event through GyG, we received a great gift. I hope that subsequent guests will also get a little goodie. The food was delicious with a very large selection of dishes (including vegan food). You could put together your own 3-course menu. The portions were generous. Especially recommended for train travelers when arriving or leaving. However, the "Centraal Station" is very easy to reach by public transport from the entire city.
