I booked this trip for my best friends birthday. The start time said 8:30pm. After a busy day of traveling and switching AirBNBs, we were really excited to relax with and cheese. We weren’t able to get an Uber so we opted to walk/run to the meeting point (about 2 miles away). We got to the dock at exactly 8:33pm and I could see the boat was already heading down the canal. One of the dock attendants was very rude and said that “they waited but we were too late”. There’s no way you “waited” at all when the boat was already down the river 3 minutes after start time. He was dismissive and left such a bad energy for the start of my friends birthday. We did reach out to GetYourGuide right away and the lady we spoke to was the absolute sweetest. She was able to get us on the next days cruise and really seemed genuine with her concern towards what happened. All in all, the cruise itself was great. Very informative, lots of wine, and really tasty cheese. Just make sure you are EARLY.

A wonderful 90 minutes spent cruising along the canals. There was a choice of red, white and rosé wine with a selection of Henry Wilig Dutch cheese, bread rolls, fig compote, mustard and nuts & olives. There were 2 waiting on staff who were attentive and friendly and kept our wine glasses topped up throughout. I just wish the cruise had lasted longer!

Wonderful introduction to the city

We chose the Cheese and Wine cruise for our first evening in Amsterdam and were very glad we did, it was lovely to see the city from that angle while relaxing with some delicious cheese and selection of wine. It was great that the wine was constantly topped up too and the staff on board were incredibly friendly. Would recommend this tour to everyone and might actually do it again ourselves on our next visit.
