Full description

Explore blooming tulips, windmills, wooden clogs, and Dutch cheese on a guided day trip from Amsterdam. Visit the world’s largest flower garden, Keukenhof, and wander among the windmills at Zaanse Schans.

Back in the city, choose from a canal cruise and a 5D flight simulation over Holland’s famous sights.

Begin your day with a transfer from the meeting point in central Amsterdam. Get comfortable in your seat aboard a single-decker bus as you gaze out at the Dutch countryside, awash with colorful crocuses, tulips, and daffodils. Listen to your guide to learn more about the history of this region.

Upon arrival at Keukenhof Gardens, step off the bus and go on a guided tour of the grounds. Covering an area of more than 79 acres (32 hectares), these magnificent gardens are home to innumerable blooming bulbs, all meticulously landscaped into aesthetically pleasing patterns.

Next, continue to the windmill village of Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum that houses a collection of working windmills, wooden houses, barns, and shops dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Step into the most prosperous period of the Zaan region.

In the village, follow your guide on an orientation tour of the town. Visit the clog museum, annex a wooden shoemaker shop, and get to taste Dutch farmer cheese on the cheese farm. Afterward, enjoy free time to explore the village on your own.

Finally, finish your day with a choice of 2 attractions. Enjoy the Amsterdam 100 Highlights Cruise, passing by canal houses, the Westerkerk, and Anne Frank's house.

Alternatively, embark on a 5D flight experience with special effects projected on a domed screen and feel like you’re soaring over the sights of the Netherlands.

Immense and well-kept garden. Truly splendid!

Lots of tulips of various types. A paradise full of colors. Unfortunately, the expanses of tulips on the plantations outside the gardens were no longer there, but inside the park it was really full of flowers Even the village with the windmills deserves it. The tour of the canals was interesting especially for the excellent explanations of the audio guide .... it is a highly recommended excursion.

Gardens fabulous, village quaint, canal ride very enjoyable. Tour good

Bus driver and tour guide very good. There were multiple language groups on our tour which took away from her time having to speak in 3 languages when she could have devoted more time to share history of the Netherlands. While most of the tulip fields had already been either clipped or plowed up, they made an effort to find an area that still had a few rows of tulips left. Tour was timely. Enjoyed our canal cruise. Felt the narration via recording on canal cruise could have been more informative.

It was a great nice day trip

Pickup and tour guide everything worked out great, the excursions were very nice. We saw a lot and our tour guide was very nice and told everything wonderful. Only on the last excursion in Amsterdam the canal tour almost all participants did not know where to go. We searched forever. That should have been explained better or someone should have gone along. The canal cruise was a wonderful end to the day. Thanks a lot!
