Full description

Start of this tour from Amsterdam central station where you will meet your private guide. From here, head to the China Town area where your guide will tell you about the Amsterdam heroine epidemic and Chinese mafia in the 1970s. Next, walk to the Red Light District area where you will explore the many narrow streets and where you will learn about the human trafficking and prostitution of Amsterdam. Walk past the first coffees hop of Amsterdam and learn why marijuana got decriminalized and how there is still a lot of criminality and violence involved in the marijuana production. You will also learn about the current situation of the Netherlands and why some people call the Netherlands a narcos state, how the Moroccan mafia in Amsterdam and Rotterdam is very powerful and control a big part of the international drug trade of Europe, as well as what the police does to fight the criminality and mafia organisations.

This was an amazing tour, a real eye opener!! We visited Amsterdam several times, so we wanted to do something different. It was very interesting and we never knew some of the extreme crime this city has. We learned about the old Dutch mafia but also about the new Moroccan mafia that is getting more powerful in the Netherlands. In recent years there was even a decapitated head found of one the mafia members in Amsterdam! This tour is a must do for anyone that is interested in crime!! You will get a real insight of the current situation of crime and mafia in the Netherlands. Crazy stuff!

I made a mistake when booking, but our guide, who waited for free at the agreed location, was super friendly and went out of his way to make sure that our team had a nice afternoon in Amsterdam. We had Peter as our guide. He did a great tour with us through the old town of Amsterdam. We went off the typical tourist destinations and learned a lot about crime in Amsterdam and how it was/is dealt with. 5/5, I do recommend this tour.
