The captain of the boat was caring enough to take out some woollen blankets for passengers who felt cold as the boat is a semi open boat. It would have been better if he could speak into a mic as we could hardly hear him from the middle section of the boat onwards

Although it was a relatively dreary drizzly day, the semi-open canal boat cruise was superb! Didn't get wet and the tour guide was so knowledgable. I wish it had been him doing the entire tour, instead of the ear phones via the audio guide, as there was so much more character from the driver who stopped a number of times to point out things of interest. An absolute must! Would definitely do this again!

++ The captain's commentary along the ride is the best part of this ride. The audioguide itself was just okay (it's mostly historic fact). Despite the fact that they have 19 languages of recorded audioguide, you can learn a lot more if you understand english (=captain's commentary). Also sit as close to the captain as possible since he doesn't have a loudspeaker so you won't hear anything if you hang in the back of the boat.
