Full description

Pre-book your admission ticket to Upper Antelope Canyon and witness a masterpiece of nature's uncanny craftsmanship as you embark on a visual feast for your senses. Enjoy a scenic ride to the canyon before venturing on a guided walking tour with a Navajo local.

Start your trip with a scenic ride to the canyon (approximately 10 minutes on a paved road and 10 minutes within the dry wash of the Antelope Canyon). Listen as your guide explains the canyon's geology, cultural history, and modern issues on the way.

Upon arrival at the site, you’ll step into the desert and enter a fantasy world in stone. For photographers, with proper exposures, you can bring out the best in your own creativity. For aspiring or non-photographers alike, there is a magical new world to explore and immerse yourself in.

Experience rich and deep colors in the morning and afternoon and marvel at the famous light beams that occur mid-day from April to September. On your guided walk, you'll get to fully take insights that you can only witness at this canyon, located at Page, Lake Powell.

If, for some reason, one chooses not to take the Lower Antelope Canyon tour, the visit to the Upper Antelope Canyon is a must! The intricate views along and up the walls inside are simply wonderful. What a way mother Nature has worked over millions of years in a totally different environment! The walk along the level path through the canyon is thoroughly enjoyable, the air being much colder than that outside.

Our Navajo tour guide JR Zumba was amazing pointing our key picture technique and camera placement to capture ideal photos. He even shared morning photos from that day that were more dramatic light shafts than our 1:20pm tour. The walk thru the canyon was unhurried and the walk out of the canyon was only mildly challenging due to stair incline. I did not appreciate the booking as our 12:30 posted tour time did not clarify we were not leaving then but only gathering at the location for our tour guide who was scheduled to arrive 90 minutes later: this was an unnecessary wait time and was misleading regarding time of day we entered the canyon which resuled in subdued light beams. Also we were forbidden back packs while all other groups were permitted one bag: water is essential for 95•days and awkward to carry when trying to handle your camera for pictures. Overall the experience was otherwise incredible and well worth time and cost.

Of note: Canyon was beautiful!!!! very glad to have seen it. Guide was very good. Knowledgeable and friendly. Tour was approx 45 mins late getting started. They prompt you to be there ten mins early so we sat close to one hour. We had issue with the booking and a mistyped email address and over coming that was very challenging. Missed the original tour date/time. Customer service folks can provide very limited assistance. Very expensive for 90 mins.
