Be collected in a luxurious SUV or van at 9:30 AM from your accommodation in Phoenix or Scottsdale. Spend 80 minutes checking out the historic shops and see how it was in the Old West. Then, hit the Apache Trail and take in the amazing views of the Superstitions and the Sonoran Desert along the trail. Reach Canyon Lake for a 90-minute sightseeing journey on an old-fashioned sternwheeler steamboat across the lake. Upon return to the shore, travel down the road to one of the oldest stagecoach stops in the Southwest, which was the site of where a lot of gold was mined in the late 1800s known as Tortilla Flat. Learn about how the general store has been owned by the same family for generations. Pan for gold or watch an old West gun fight if you get the chance, or simply stroll and explore the historic buildings and stores. Next you will travel to Tortilla Flat, an authentic remnant of an old West town that is tucked in to the heart of the Tonto National Forest. Here you can grab some lunch and check out who is hanging out at the Ice Cream Parlor. Seat yourself on a bar stool made from real saddles in the Superstition Saloon. The tour continues to Canyon Lake for a 90-minute narrated steamboat cruise. Even though it was raining pretty hard, Frank did an excellent job of staying ahead of the rain and getting us outside. He showed us native Arizona cacti and other plants. We then went on the Dolly for a trip around Canyon Lake. It was awesome even in the rain. Finally we stopped at a wonderful restaurant in Tortilla Flats that had prickly pear lemonade and prickly pear ice cream! Just a wonderful day.

This was a great tour! Our guide, Zane was knowledgeable, funny, picked us up at our location “on time” and he was a good driver! He truly made this excursion a memorable event. The Lost Dutchman Park was beautiful, and the stories we heard about it were interesting. The steamboat ride was wonderful! We highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Frank was great explaining about Phoenix's natural habitat and the different tribes while going to this Apache Trail & steamboat excursion. It was beautiful & relaxing. Happy I picked this. Enjoy!

Everything went extremely well. It was an informative and fun time. Bobbie was a great driver/guide/etc..., we enjoyed spending the day with him!
