Experience

Highlights
  • Skip the lines to the Herculaneum archeological site
  • Walk the cobbled streets of this ancient town
  • Imagine what life was like before the devastating volcanic eruption of 79AD
Full description

Gain instant access to the ancient Roman town of Herculaneum with your priority entrance ticket. Herculaneum was buried under ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD but, unlike the nearby site of Pompeii, a lot of the town was preserved: roofs, beds, doors, food, and even 300 skeletons. Walk the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and get a glimpse of what life was like before the devastating eruption. Marvel at artifacts that have kept their original form for almost 2000 years.  Explore intact buildings at your own pace, see well-preserved frescoes and imagine the daily rituals of those using the shops, public gymnasium, and public swimming baths that can still be seen today.

Includes
  • Priority entrance ticket
  • Audio guide (if option selected)
  • Guided tour
  • 10% discount at the Hard Rock Shop in Via dei Brunelleschi

We really enjoyed visiting Herculeam. It's smaller, and better preserved, than pompeii. To see it, from above, when you first walk in, was incredible. The museums bought the people to life that little bit more. Whilst the audio guide was helpful, it didn't always appear to flow from place to place. Also the map didn't tie in with the guide. We felt a guided tour would have worked better for us. We worked it out though and would throughly recommend.

Was wonderful. Only got to see about a third of it as we were caught in an almight storm. What we did see was amazing. Well worth money. They are missing a selling opportunity by not having a snack/café there. We would have weathered the storm had there been somewhere dry to sit it out

Really didn’t need fast track tickets on the day and time we went. Could have purchased them at a cheaper price on site. A free paper map like you get in Pompeii would have been helpful rather than a QR code. Ticket allows all day access which is great but we were limited in time unfortunately. Definitely recommend seeing Herculaneum and Pompeii and if you’re doing Naples, be sure to make a visit to the National Archeological Museum where a lot of the excavations are displayed. Truly spectacular!
