Full description

Experience the Greek Islands on a full-day trip from Athens to the scenic islands of Aegina, Poros, and Hydra. Take the trip on a comfortable boat with many amenities and a friendly crew.

Depart on the cruise from the old port of Athens in Faliro and go to Hydra where you have some free time to explore the cobblestone alleys and see the unique architecture, and the donkeys that still provide public transportation, and go swimming if you like.

Take an optional walking tour of the town to see historic landmarks and traditional houses (at an extra fee). Later the cruise continues to Poros island, full of green pine forests and scented lemon groves, where you have more time to walk in the town and shop or eat at a local taverna.

Continue to Aegina island, known for its pistachio groves and beautiful beaches. Take an optional bus tour of the Temple of Aphaia and the Monastery of Agios Nektarios in Aegina (at an extra fee).

During the cruise, enjoy a full meal from a buffet full of various Greek and Mediterranean delicacies. On the way back to Athens, enjoy extra drinks from the bar and enjoy entertainment and dancing presented live by a group of Greek artists and dancers.

End the cruise in the evening. If you book the option with hotel transfer, be transferred back to your hotel area in downtown Athens.

Overall it was good. Lunch was really nice. Only issue really was time taken getting on and off the boat. We arrived at the time we were told which was 7am for 7.30am departure but people were still arriving at 8am so didn’t set sail until 8.20am therefore time on the islands were reduced to make up time. Getting off at each port also took a long time as a very large number of people on the boat trying to get out through 1 point. The trip itself though I enjoyed.

Great day out. Picked up from our hotel on time and taken to port after 5 further hotel pickups (we were 2nd pickup). The boat was large, outdoor seating goes very quickly so don’t hang around boarding. Drinks and snacks reasonably priced (my wife and I spent around 70 euros on drinks during the whole trip). Lunch was provided (bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, chicken & fish).l and although basic was ok. It took around 3 hours to sail to Hydra but the sun was shining and it was very pleasurable to relax. Hydra is very nice but you only get around 90 mins before boarding to move on. Next stop Poros (our fav stop) an hour away and 50 mins to look around. Then on to Aegina (our least fav) 90 mins away and again you get 90 mins to look around before boarding for home and transfer back to hotel. All in all a nice and relaxing day seeing some picturesque islands. We had a great day. Downside, boat feels a bit crowded and if you don’t get good weather, it wouldn’t be as good. We’d do it again.

Overall, very nice. The boat is well-appointed and snackbar/drinks service very good and attentive. The tours were well guided and a bit of free time at each port. Because we had so much distance to cover, the tours/free time were short, though. Lunch was self-serve buffet with meat and vegetarian choices. I was disappointed in two things, however. First, all the information I received for pickup was 6AM. Got to the location well before, and later found out for my location was 7:20AM! Was told an email was sent, but I never got it, even checked spam. Perhaps an oversight as I was the only pickup there. Second was that the swimming tour was not yet available (May 5) and besides the weather was not good. I didn't see anywhere in the ad about when swimming was in season. overall, though, a nice trip.
