1. Small-Group Giverny and Van Gogh's Room in Auvers from Paris

Discover the unparalleled beauty in the Clos Normand and Japanese Water gardens of Claude Monet, in Giverny. You’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into one of his Impressionist paintings as you walk among the willow trees and cross the little green bridge over his pond of water lilies. Then you’ll explore the inside of his colorful family home, getting some unique access to whether the artists actually lived and worked. After your visit of Claude Monet’s home and gardens you’ll stop at his tomb to pay your respects to this great man in person. Afterwards, you’ll be off to visit the town of Auvers-sur-Oise where you’ll focus on the troubled life and amazing Post Impressionist art of Vincent Van Gogh. You’ll visit the boarding house where Vincent lived the last 3-months of his life. Next, explore the little town and surrounding area which inspired 77 of his paintings. You’ll visit the gothic “Church of Auvers” and walk in the actual “Wheat Field with Crows”. From Paris: Giverny and Auvers sur Oise Small Group Day Trip

2. From Paris: Giverny and Auvers sur Oise Small Group Day Trip

Discover the secrets of one of the founders of Impressionism and leader of the artistic movement of the 19th century. Monet introduced more perception, emotion, and light into the art of his age and spent almost 40 years developing his Giverny property. Immerse yourself in the daily life of the artist by visiting his reading room, the grocery store, office, dining room and kitchen. Admire his collection of Japanese prints and much more. This lavish garden with thousands of colors was once a simple garden which now boasts Japanese cherry trees, tulips and roses. Stroll through the romantic water garden where you can find the Japanese bridge, the wisteria, the famous lily pond, weeping willows and irises. You will also visit a large workshop which saw the birth of the famous water lily series. As a tribute to Impressionists around the world, it also shows the history of the iconic artistic movement. You'll see the garden designed by the landscape painter Mark Rudkin, a contemporary garden since 2009 and classified as one of the Remarkable Gardens of France. It offers a colorful nod to the themes dear to the Impressionists. You will then have lunch at a charming location in Giverny before heading to Auvers-sur-Oise and walking in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh. Search for the inspiration seen in his paintings such as the wheat fields, the famous church, his room at Auberge Ravoux, and the twin graves of the Van Gogh brothers. After your visit, you will return back to Paris by minibus.
