Set just beside the village of Les Baux is a former limestone quarry, converted into a stunning light and picture show: Carrières de Lumières. This activity takes just under an hour and is not included in the price. However, you can choose to visit this if you wish at additional cost. The walk is 7 kilometers long in total, and you can expect up to three hours of walking time along the trails. The paths are easy to walk on, but rocky: you can choose to wear walking boots but running shoes are sufficient if you're used to walking on uneven surfaces.  Pick-up is at 9 AM directly at your hotel by your guide in Avignon, or in the surrounding area (within a radius of 25 kilometers from Avignon). The pick-up time can be adjusted, if necessary. A return transfer is included to your hotel in Avignon, arriving at around 5 PM.

This tour gave us a very good overview of the beautiful Provence region. The commentary and local knowledge of our guide Nicolas was excellent and helped us to understand the ulture, history and geography of the region. He was extremely helpful and courteous througout. Thoroughly enjoyed the day.
