1. From Avignon: Magic Luberon Private Tour
Enjoy a hotel pick-up at around 08:30 (hotels located in downtown Avignon) and get ready for your 9-hour journey through Luberon. First, stop at Fontaine de Vaucluse and admire this charming village by the river Sorgue. Walk up to its spring, one of the biggest of Europe and then walk down the cliff. Then, go to Sénanque Abbey and take beautiful pictures of this typical 12th-century abbey surrounded by lavender fields. Your next step is Gordes. After the photo stop at the "belvedere", visit this famous hilltop village made of local dry stones, and explore the flourishing Provencal market on Tuesday. Then head off to the Provencal village of Roussillon, which weaves its spell throughout the year, as the shades of ochre of the houses and the ground vary with the sunlight. This is where you will take your lunch break (not included). In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the perched village of Bonnieux. Your guide will drop you at the top and pick you up from the bottom.Your final stop will be Menerbes, a preserved village, made famous by Peter Mayle's novels. There you can choose what you want to visit: wine tasting houses, galleries, historic monuments or simply somewhere to have a drink. Your guide will then take you back to your hotel or accommodation in Avignon.
