3. Private Truffle Hunt with Wine Tasting

Italy's Piedmont region is a gastronomic hotspot, and on this private tour, you'll have the opportunity not just to taste but to hunt for one of its most famous culinary products: the truffle.  Go behind-the-scenes and join a truffle hunter and his dog on a walk through the woods in search of these hidden treasures. Depending on the season, this 1-1.5-hour hunt will lead you in search of the White Truffle of Alba (in season from late September to January) or the black Scorzone truffle (in season during the Summer months). Truffle hunting involves walking on paths that can be slippery, muddy, and occasionally steep, so appropriate footwear is strongly recommended.  After the truffle hunt, learn the secrets of Barolo winemaking in a visit to a family-run winery. Alessandra was an excellent guide, flexible, nice person and added a lot to the trip. Barolo beautiful. The winery is a smaller one, but this is a lovely place and it has interesting history. Matteo is a real professional, who told a lot about wine making. The tasting and wines were good, of course. The journey between wineyards was spectacular and was crowned with the view from the top of the hill. Thank you Alessandra, recommended!

Gabriele was an amazing guide and the tour was absolutely perfect! We stayed in La Morra and enjoyed the wonderful view, then we went to the village of Barolo and after that on to a vineyard and tasted their wines. Really good day and I really recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about the wines from Piedmont. Great value for money and definitely worth it!

One of the best parts of our trip, our guide Marco was very knowledgeable and was able to get us up to speed before we even made it to the wineries. All the tastings were set up for us at a perfect variety of wineries to get a feel for the area. Would 100% take this tour again when back.

Such an incredible experience. If you’re not sure if you should book or not, I’m telling you right now, do it.

Very nice experience. We enjoyed the tasting and the truffle hunt very much.
