In this first seaside village where we will stop, in the municipality of Valdés, you will be able to discover a privileged environment where the sea and the mountains merge. This beautiful town offers all its visitors a multitude of leisure and entertainment plans. We will walk the streets that saw the birth of Nobel Prize in Medicine Severo Ochoa, an authentic reference, of which the village still has many memories. In addition, we will visit the spectacular Plaza Miares and the Ermita de La Regalina, one of the jewels of the Principality of Asturias. From Luarca we will head to Cudillero, a place that we will visit with expert local guides and where we will also have free time to taste all the gastronomy of the area, with a prior recommendation from the guides. But before lunch, it’s time to get to know all the corners of another of the most amazing seaside villas on the Asturian coast. Cudillero captivates anyone who sets foot on its streets. Very peculiar and inclined paths, roads and sidewalks that end up in the sea. Throughout them the life and activity of the inhabitants of the so-called ’Villa Pixueta' develops. Its houses facing the sea, the famous Amphitheatre of Cudillero, the incredible cultural and artistic heritage of the place, La Quinta de Selgas (a spectacular museum), the Church of Jesus del Nazareno or the Church of Santa Maria de Soto de Luiña, among other things, are some of the fantastic places that you will visit and where you will surely enjoy with its history and sensational views. And the third stop of this excursion is in Avilés. Known as the ’village of the forward' awaits you to discover a land of discoverers, since the city is known precisely as the ’village of the forward' because of a space dedicated to one of its most illustrious characters, a ruler of the Indies who reconquered Florida in the 16th century. Tradition, history, culture and modernity blend into a perfect cocktail provides all its visitors with a unique experience. Over the years, Avilés has also been transformed into a modern and avant-garde city, where, above all, the Niemeyer Centre stands out. During our visit we will also visit the historic centre, which is incredible, the Church of Sabugo, in front of the estuary of Avilés, the Plaza de la Merced, presided over by the monumental Church of Santo Tomás, or the already mentioned estuary of Avilés, which keeps an incredible history about the so important industrial sector in Asturias.

The guided tour of Ribadesella will take us to many of its most typical and emblematic buildings. We will visit its historic center and also the Portiellu neighborhood, to better understand the history and tradition of this Asturian town. One of the most characteristic and beautiful things are its picturesque streets, where, scattered around, some of the houses and palaces appear that have gradually become a must-see. Thus, the Palace of Pietro Cutre stands out, a jewel of the Asturian Renaissance, the Casa Ardines, or the Palacio de la Atalaya, in the square of the same name. One of the things that we have to see in Ribadesella, without any doubt, its Hermitage of the Guide, where the patron saint of sailors rests. In addition, from this place, you get some of the best views of Ribadesella and also of the Bay of Biscay. Our itinerary continues towards Llanes, about half an hour away. This is one of the most chosen summer destinations in Asturias, both for its leisure offer and for the beautiful places that can be visited here. Again following our guide we will learn more about the most important places, its Casino, its tower, from the 13th century, the Palace of the Dukes of Estrada or the Gates of Llanes. There will also be time for well-known spaces such as the “Parres Sobrino” square, which rose to fame with the movie “El Orfanato”, which was shot in Llanes. Here we can enjoy free time to continue exploring a bit on our own, or to return to the places that we liked the most. The last stop will be Colombres, this village in the council of Rivadedeva stands out for the large number of Indian houses it houses. So many that it has come to be considered an open-air museum. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO VISIT? We will meet at the chosen time in one of the most iconic places in Gijón: the Marina. With the sailboats of the port as a backdrop, we will review the history of this city of Celtic origin that passed through Roman and Christian hands, without giving up its freedom. Strolling along the pier we will arrive at the Revillagigedo Palace, the first stop of this free tour of Gijón. This majestic 18th century palace has a peculiarity; although its two towers look like twins, one of them is 300 years older. In front of it we will find the statue of a knight carrying a cross. Can you tell who it is? It is Don Pelayo, the first Asturian king and a figure very dear to the Asturians. The tour of Gijón will continue in the fishermen's neighborhood of Cimadevilla, a place that condenses the purest essence of Gijón. We will feel how the seafaring airs of the neighborhood intermingle with the Roman vestiges of its streets, the oldest in the city. From Cimadevilla we will continue our walk towards the coast. We will contemplate how San Lorenzo Beach merges with the sea while we walk along the famous Gijón Wall, a wide avenue that runs parallel to the Bay of Biscay and connects the two ends of the urban area of the city. In addition, we will take the opportunity to reveal some curiosities about this mythical street. The last stop of the free tour will be the elegant Plaza Mayor, the perfect place to say goodbye after two hours discovering the main attractions of Gijón.

9:00 am Pick up at your hotel or address in Oviedo or Gijon. Going to our first stop. Cangas de Onis “Roman” bridge. then of a short stop and go for pictures, continue to Covadonga Lakes in Peaks Of Europe National Park. (Priority access included) You`ll have about 45 minutes on your own walking to Peakview to se both lakes. Lake enol and Lake Ercina, and across the grass to the Lake Ercina. Later go back to Covadonga sanctuary, time to visit Church and Holy cave. (About one hour) Later going to Ribadesella discovering the beautiful Santa Marina Beach. Time for lunch ( 1 hour and a half) Later Stop in Lastres, one of the most beautiful and pintoresque villages in the North of Spain. We`ll make the best pictures today , if it’s possible from Peakview: Mirador de San roque. At about 17:30 drop off in your hotel or address.

Once we have left the city behind we head into deep and forested river valleys. First we reach Pola de Somiedo for a break stop and visit the Natural Park Visitors Center and be informed about geology, flora, fauna, and history. Next stop will be in Veigas where you will experience the echoes of the past getting into traditional family thatched houses. We now drive all the way up to La Farrapona saddle for starting a walk among the mountains, admiring Saliencia valley and reach eventually La Cueva lake. After this healthy hike we return back to the village for having lunch. Last spot we visit before driving back to origin is Aguino viewpoint, where only small groups can go.

Visiting Covadonga Lakes, Covadonga Sanctuary and Cangas de Onís will make you enjoy Asturian medieval history, Picos de Europa sceneries, Covadonga Holy and Pilgrimage Place, as well as stroll through Cangas de Onís. Our first target is Covadonga Sanctuary for visiting the Holy Cave, inside which the “Santina” stands and Pelayo, the first king of the Asturian monarchy, graveyard remains. Right after we will have access to the church, see the Holy Cave in the distance and enjoy a short break before we drive up all the way to Ercina lake. Once in the mountains we will have the chance to reach the Entrelagos viewpoint from where to observe both Covadonga Lakes and the alpine landscapes that surround us. The bucolic atmosphere reminds us pastoral life and artisan cheese making are part of these Cantabrian mountains. We now go to Cangas de Onís for having lunch be delighted by the so-called Roman Bridge.
