Full description

Make the most of your time in Northern Ireland and take in all the main sights along the Causeway Coastal Route in one day on this bus trip from Belfast. See the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, and Dunluce and Carrickfergus Castles at your own pace.

Meet your guide at the iconic Europa Hotel and hop on board the bus for a breathtaking journey along the 130-mile Causeway Coastal Route. Stop to admire the beauty of Carrickfergus Castle, the oldest Norman Castle in Northern Ireland, before continuing to Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.

Once there, if you are feeling brave, you can opt to stroll along the famous 20-meter rope bridge and witness the crashing waves below you. Get inspired by the ingenuity and skills of local salmon fishermen, who first erected a bridge here over 250 years ago.

If you prefer to keep your feet firmly on dry land, you can enjoy a stroll around the many walking trails on the land side of the rope bridge, including an exhilarating coastal walk with views of the Giant's Causeway.

Next, sit down to lunch at the world's oldest licenced working distillery, the Old Bushmills Distillery (not included in the cost of the tour). Savor some traditional Northern Irish dishes and even get your taste buds tingling with a glass or two of Bushmills whiskey.

After lunch, immerse yourself in the mythical world of Finn McCool at the Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland's only UNESCO Site. Learn about the myths and legends that surround the Causeway area from your local guide and enjoy some free time to explore the 40,000 basalt columns at your own pace.

On the way back to Belfast, enjoy a final stop at Dunluce Castle. You may recognize this castle as the location of The House of Greyjoy from Game of Thrones.

This tour is excellent value for money. Our driver Patrick gave us so much information about the sites we were visiting and advice on how to make the most of the stops we had. Sit on the right hand side of the coach if you can for the best views of the sea. There is no pressure to eat at the pub suggested at lunchtime so feel free to bring your own lunch if that suits you.

In general it was great , only very disappointed to find out on the day of the tour that the Carrick-a-Rede-bridge was not included which was supposed to on the description of the tour when I signed up to . The driver cum guide did an excellent job though .

The Giant's Causeway is a BEAUTIFUL part of NI, and absolutely worth seeing on your trip. I liked this tour because it allowed for 2 full hours at the Causeway, which means you have plenty of time to take pictures, walk around, etc. You might not have time for the full "intense" hike, but certainly the easier paths can be done in that amount of time. We also enjoyed a DELICIOUS pub lunch, which was great, and I liked that it came before the Causeway so that no one (me) was hungry! Our driver, Carl, was a safe driver, and a kind and accomodating one in terms of time. I would have liked to hear him speak a bit more on the actual drive - it was less of a tour than I was hoping to receive, which was a bit disappointing. He mentioned at the start that he usually had a guide with him on the bus, so if that's the case, I'd have much preferred that, but overall, highly recommend this trip!
