Our bus from Amsterdam to Brussel was delayed, so we arrived the museum after 5PM, the entrance close time. After explained our situation to the staff, they kindly allowed us to get in! We did have about 50 mins to visit it and even caught the last chocolate demo at 5:45pm! The museum provides good education on the choco history and not mention to the wonderful demo! Of course, everyone enjoyed the choco sample tasting!

The museum went into depth about the origins of chocolate and it’s cultural significance. Some of this was kind of boring and long winded. The chocolate tasting was basically just eating manufactured pieces of chocolate that you’d buy at a store, they didn’t seem very artisanal. It was worth the price but not exactly what I expected

Great visit! To do absolutely if you are passing through the Gran Place! The children loved it, it was very interesting, fun and delicious! We learn a lot about the history of chocolate through the ages… the shop at the end of the visit is very affordable for small chocolate gifts! And I loved the chocolate maker's demonstration of how to create pralines. Really great!
