It has been described as a rebellion, revolt, uprising, popular uprising, revolution, counter-revolution, or War of Independence. Visit the site of Bloody Thursday in Kossuth Lajos Square, Budapest. What people are saying about Budapest

Patient, professional and personable. Guide was more than willing to take me anywhere for as long as needed. It was so good to go to the top of Buda Castle hill and the Citadel hill without any effort...like riding on an exellator. I'll do it again and again...

Miklos has an encyclopedic knowledge of the players and events of Hungarian communism. He's a teacher, complete with a handout at the end. This tour is more than a Cliffs Notes version and we learned a lot.

Awesome guide, super experience

We did this trip our second day in Budapest. Because of certain circumstances our guide had to do an alternitive route, but he did it like a real professional. Totally worth the money!
