Full description

Wander along the 8-kilometer path of the Caminito del Rey in Malaga province with this entry ticket. The path, which was once considered the most dangerous in the world, has now been restored and is completely safe, but retains the 100-meter-high walkways that make it so popular with hikers.

Fall in love with the breathtaking cliff faces and the fascinating history of the path. Reach highs of 400 meters above ground and lows of just 10 meters. Watch as the wild waters of the Guadalhorce river rush below you. The path was originally formed as a railway track in the 19th century. Declared by the Junta de Andalucía as a Natural Area in 1989, it had already been classified as a Special Protection Area for Birds in 1987 and, since 2006, it is part of the Andalusia-Morocco Intercontinental Biosphere Reserve of the Mediterranean. The site has been added to the list of Places of Community Importance in the Mediterranean Biogeographic Region.

There was nobody at the meeting point. We had to ask around and it turned out that we could just go straight to the entrance. So don’t bother going to the meeting point, just go straight to the entrance, it will save you a lot of time! It was a nice walk, super safe! We had a great time!!

The walk was stunning. Amazing views at every turn and made easy by the new and safe walkway. We were dropped off at the entrance and needed to walk 1.2km through a tunnel initially and then along the river. We showed the ticket and were given our helmets. After a safety talk we were on our way. You can take as long as you wish. Toilets at the start and at the end.

All true to the description. Be careful only to identify the meeting point which is not the reception center (not reachable by car), but the parking lot at the beginning of the experience. We arrived at the car park at 9.30 and left it again at 12.30, of which a little less than 90 minutes of travel (with no effort) along the route. Half the estimated time.
