1. Catacombs St. Callisto Guided Tour by Ebike
Embark on an electric bike tour in the morning or afternoon along the Appian Way to the St. Callisto Catacombs and a natural spring in the scenic countryside. Take an adventure outside of Rome by cycling alongside the city walls. Hop on an e-bike and cycle along a traffic-free path through parks, farmland, and along the ancient Appian Way. Arrive at the church of Rome's first official burial site, a labyrinth of underground rooms connected by tunnels used to bury their dead in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd centuries. See the road the Romans built almost 2,300 years ago as if it was yesterday. In places, there are still the original stones paving the top, pagan tombs, and remnants from medieval structures. Cycle through the history of this magnificent area left untouched by the development of the modern city. Later, pass a natural spring where water is coming out of the ground for a taste of local life. Drink from the source, and try some local delicacies available from the snack shop which also has a selection of local wines and bottled drinks (cost not included). On the way back to the start, cycle through a public park called the Cafarella Valley.
