From Paris: Day Trip to Champagne with 8 Tastings & Lunch

1. From Paris: Day Trip to Champagne with 8 Tastings & Lunch

Tour starts at your hotel (if located in Paris) or at the central Paris meeting point. Your driver guide will pick you up in a cozy air-conditioned minivan at around 7.30 AM. Enjoy tasty croissants on the way to Champagne, while your guide tells you all you need to know about the sparkling universe of champagne! Once you arrive in Champagne, you'll start your day with a visit to a very prestigious Estate (Moët & Chandon, Mumm, Veuve Clicquot, Mercier, Pommery, Lanson, etc. > depending on supplier availability). Discover never-ending galleries filled with bottles and of course, finish the guided-tour with a tasting. According to the day, there might be a stop in Epernay or Reims. Back in your air-conditioned minivan, admire the landscapes and stop in the heart of the vineyard to enjoy a tasting led by your wine expert guide. He will teach you the basis of the wine professional tasting. Next stop is for lunch in a family-run champagne house or at a local restaurant (depending on availability). You will have the chance to taste several glasses of champagne and ratafias (another local wine), paired with local food. Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, Champagne Rosé… what would you pair them with? After lunch, enjoy a digestive tour through the vineyard of the Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne. Learn the characteristics of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, and enjoy amazing views over the vineyard. Get ready to take some pictures! Last but not least, visit another family-run winery where you might learn the art of sabrage or disgorgement “à la volée” (a technique for opening a champagne bottle), depending on availability. Taste several delicious champagnes before heading back to Paris, where you will be dropped off in a central, Hotel de Ville.

Fantastic day trip from Paris. Picked up with fresh pastries for the drive and a very knowledgable tour guide. We visited one of the big champagne houses where you learn a lot about the champagne and the history of champagne. We then visited a couple of smaller houses which were fabulous and the tasting as great. The lunch provided was delicious and a great setting, plenty of food and drinks to go round. It was then topped off by a surprise stop at the top of a hill by a church and some pink champagne. All in all fantastic day and would highly recommend to anyone who likes champagne.

I did not think visiting any champagne houses in the first January would be possible given the time of year, but we visited 3 different houses, including Nicolas Feuillatte, and had so many tastings throughout the day! My friend and I both agreed the lunch was some of the best food we’d had all week, and our guide Karl was amazing! 100% would recommend!

Schloss Versailles - Menschenmassen und Chaos

Our tour guide Alex was phenomenal! The entire day exceeded our expectations. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to experience the Champagne region’s villages and countryside. We visited 3 wineries (each very unique) with Alex who is an expert on wine and champagne (my husband also enjoyed the French history discussions!)

The tour was excellent! I would definitely recommend it for people who enjoy champagne and learning about the region where it is made. It was also quite entertaining!

Nuestro guía Simone fue un valor agregado a nuestro viaje, en si el tour muy bien ya que conoces mas sobre la región y la degustaron muy buena, lo recomiendo mucho.
