What people are saying about Château d'Amboise

With the slow influx in tourists to france (written in April 2022) this is essentially a private tour. Most of the time I was wondering if it was worth the $200+ per person, and I think it was worth at least most of that. Gas is very expensive these days, and our tour guide did a fantastic job explaining the different sites while also giving us free time at each of the chateau's. The free time is very rushed at chenonceau and close luce though, which was enough to see close luce however there were portions of chenonceau we did not get to see by the time we left (however, got to see most of the most important portions). Thankful that the wine tasting company they partner with had options for those who do not drink alcohol. Overall there are not many options for touring the chateau's if you do not have your own car, so factor that into your decision for paying this much per person (there is no uber out there, taxis are sparse and expensive)

An excellent opportunity to learn about wine appellation of the Vouvray region, and try some lovely chenin blancs of different maturities and styles, a true testament to the winemakers of each of the 2 vineyards and wineries we visited. Marion was a wonderful guide, both informative and fun!

Lovely stuff, very informative and all in all a lovely experience. It is the just intro level so if you want more info on the wines of the region and more explanations, look for a different tour.

Our guide was amazing and welcoming, had a broad knowledge about wine. We tasted 11 different delicious wines and saw two very nice wineries. Definitely recommend!

Wonder your, wine tasting fun. Great host, meet other people too
