During this tour you will be able to see the Chocholow village, which features traditional wooden houses that have been built by the local highlanders years ago. Along your way spot out the beautiful and historically famed wooden chapels. Visit Krupowki, the main street of Zakopane. Meet some locals, see what village life has to offer and shop for some souvenirs. Take a trip up the mountain Gubalowka, ride in a funicular and experience the natural surrounds. From the top of the mountain you will have a beautiful view of the Tatra Mountain range. On this trip you will be able to view the ski jump hill, which is used for the Grant Prix Ski Jump Competition.  This mountainous journey will take 2 hours to drive depending on traffic. The driver may be up to 15 minutes late depending on agreed meeting location and time. Please wear warm clothing.

Your day begins with pick-up from your hotel in Krakow, then a visit to the studio of a local folklore sculptor in Chochołów to admire the traditional Polish artworks and, if you're interested, buy some of the artist's works. The day will continue with an unforgettable funicular journey to the Gubałówka mountain, which stands at an impressive elevation of 1126m. Here, enjoy spectacular views of the Polish countryside. After a hike through the mountain peaks, head down to the charming town of Zakopane and walk along Krupówki street, which runs through the town’s center. Start your trip directly from your accommodation. Then, travel from Krakow to discover the natural beauty of Pieniny National Park, located in the south of Poland, near the Slovak border. There you will see a number of wooden cottages and visit the Museum of Chochołów with traditional interiors from the second half of the 19th century. Such a brilliant tour! Jacob was very friendly and knowledgeable about Polish culture. We enjoyed the visit to the village house and cheese tasting but most of all the mountains were beautiful. Such a great escape from the city. Highly recommend!
