    Start your day of discovery by meeting your guide outside the Colosseum at your selected departure time. Discover the site that over the centuries has become the symbol of the city. Learn about the Colosseum's rich history and from your informative guide, hear tales of gladiators, slaves, and ferocious animals.

    For approximately 2-hours you will get the opportunity to explore all the areas of the Colosseum and gain exclusive access to the sites off-limits areas. Walk through the underground chambers and see the secret passages of the Gladiators. Also, discover where wild animals were caged and transported to the Arena's main level.

    After your tour of the Colosseum, explore the heart of the ancient city for about one hour with your guide. Discover the Forum, the area that witnessed the birth and development of Roman civilization. Witness the remains of ancient temples and some of the most ancient places of worship

    • Having a mobile phone in case contact needs to be made is highly recommended
    • No flammable sprays or perfumes are allowed inside

    Meet-Up: occurred 10 minutes earlier than specified time Alessandro was our host: very passionate and knowledgable. There was another host for the Underground Colosseum portion; the radio frequency kept getting mixed up with a Spanish-speaking tour so it was hard to understand everything she was saying. Overall though, a great experience!

    The Tour was split into 2 parts - the Underground tour as one part, and then all the rest of the Colosseum and Ancient Rome as a second part. Even though it was booked as a whole and as a 'small group', when it came to the Underground part of the activity we were combined with another group so it was large which seemed bit of a swizz. And even our 'Small group' was overbooked with 12 instead of 10. That said - both parts of the tour were led by excellent Guides and were fascinating. The Guides were really enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. The audio facility was good and reliable. It could have been improved ever so slightly if the main Tour Guide had been given Audio for the Underground portion too so that they then didn't overlap on the info they provided on the rest of the tour. Overall we loved it, had a fabulous afternoon at amazing historical locations and would definitely recommend it, but next time wouldn't bother paying extra for a Small Group.

    Fantastic tour. Andrea our guide was extremely knowledgeable. The tour time was changed which was not ideal as we had a full itinerary but we're glad we managed to move things around as we wouldn't have wanted to miss it. The only thing we'd like to have done differently is to finish at the roman forum instead of the Colloseum as there is so much to explore there and we couldn't get back in with our tickets.
