Overall rating

3 star instead of 5 is mainly not because Get Your Guide should be blamed (or maybe they also have to be?), but because the staff and the organization at the visited place (that is a crypt under a church) lacked of logic and state of the art.. A crypt is a small, enclosed place, which should not contain too many people at the same time. The time I had booked my tickets for was the opening time of the crypt, so I could not suffer from previous visitors who might have prolonged their stay in the crypt… Yet the crypt became too crowded in the first 5 min after the opening, because a number of people were admitted immediately, in spite of their showing tickets valid for entering at later times (a big guided group included). I do not know whether I actually had any edge at possessing a ticket bought through Get Your Guide, instead of buying it at the normal ticket office onsite.

It is a modest cryptorium replete with details to examine close-up, such as the move from two-dimensional representation s to the more "humanist" frescoes of the Renaissance. Plus, its link to the original temple for Moneta, making Milan a money center all the way back to the 4th century. After visiting, go upstairs to the church where you will see 15th/16th century terracotta statues or remarkable realism.

A bit confusing organization. It is not clear the entrance for those who bought tickets online and we were made to go back and forth from the crypt to the Amborosiana. Incomprehensible to foreigners.

With the help of the paper map given at the entrance and the totems scattered around the crypt, the visit was exhaustive. A place that truly deserves a visit.

No queues at the entrance. The Pinacoteca is really very beautiful. And the visit to the crypt is also definitely worth it!
