Then, move on to enjoy a local lunch in a nearby restaurant. Afterwards, visit Llaviuco, located in the lower part of the park. Our guide Diego was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and caring! My wife and I felt very lucky to have him as our guide! He took the time to share regional history, background of 100’s of plants including medicinal purposes, local birds and wildlife, and allowing us to rest when we needed! We highly recommend this tour with Diego!

The guide was at the meeting point on time and explained a few things to us on the way. Overall, he unfortunately seemed a bit demotivated and we had to demand the promised breaks (getting used to the altitude). In the park itself, things were moving quickly. We didn't like the very fast restaurant. After the exertion we would have wished for something more comfortable. Unfortunately it rained at the lake. So you can save yourself this detour. We were a bit spoiled by the last guide. Conclusion: great landscape. Those who are fit can also find the way on their own. Too little attention was paid to the guests for us.

As there were no other people on the tour it was very individual. Diego took the time for us and answered all of our questions. He is very knowladgeable. We did not have to rush on our hike and could walk with our speed and enjoy the nature.
