Meeting point

The castle is accessible by public transportation: take bus 127 from Vleuten station to the stop "Brink Haarzuilens" and walk in 15 minutes to the castle. You can also reach the castle by car (paid parking for 6 euros per day) or by bicycle. During the summer months, take bus 111 from Vleuten Station to the stop "Kasteel de Haar, Haarzuilens" and walk in 2 minutes to the castle (bus 111 is only available on Saturdays and Sundays). You can also opt for a rental e-bike or rental scooter from Utrecht Central (10 km) or from Vleuten station (3 km).

The place is magical. I waited for so long to get to there. The way is complicated by public transportation, but I enjoyed the way itself! You get there by taking a bus and then walking in such a beautiful village. After the castle it’s very easy and recommended to go travel at Utrecht.

Site to visit absolutely! At first glance we think of a fortified castle, but we discover in fact that it is a recent complete reconstruction (like Haut-Koenigsbourg), with integration of domestic hot water, electricity, and... central heating ! The cost of this reconstruction must have been staggering, but: Rodschild family + rich Dutch banker = means to succeed... We would have appreciated being invited as were the celebrities who were, but no, reserved between famous people or wealthy...

A very beautiful castle - definitely worth seeing. In the castle itself there were always tour guides in the individual rooms, who explained things to us personally (also in German). Was definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately, it rained here, so we could only look at the outdoor area for a very short time. The staff is very friendly and helpful!!
