Full description

Enjoy a guided tour of Dubai’s famous sights, seeing Al Fahidi Historical District, Al Seef street, and the Gold Souk. Take the chance to try some traditional tea and coffee at Al Khayma Heritage Restaurant and ride the Abra water taxi down Dubai Creek.

Be welcomed with Arabic tea at Al Khayma Heritage Restaurant, where later you will also test the Arabian culture luqaimat, Ragag, and camel milk.

While witnessing the traditional architecture and interiors, listen to the transformation of the UAE, from just a desert with tents, to reaching mars.

Take the opportunity to explore the Emirati bedroom with its antiques, admiring the architectural development from the tent replica located at the restaurant, to traditional Arish buildings made from the leaves of date palms, to the megastructure.

Take the chance to try your hand at henna painting while indulging in the traditional Arabic Makeover. Then, head towards Al Fahidi Historical District. Wander alongside the water on Al Seef street and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere with local stores. Stop at the Coffee Museum, celebrating an important part of Arabic culture.

See a nearby mosque and admire the architectural style. Take a trip on the Abra water taxi along Dubai Creek. Watch the ships and buildings of Dubai’s skyline pass you by. Leave the water taxi and enter into the Gold Souk, exploring the collections of gold jewellery.

We are a family of 4, with our kids aged 12 and 13. All of us really enjoyed this tour, albeit the weather was so hot and humid. Abdul, our guide kept this in mind and made sure we were in the shade and in air conditioned environments from time to time. His knowledge of Dubai and the UAE, from history to cultural traditions to local foods and drinks was outstanding. He answered all questions and was most accommodating. Would definitely not hesitate in recommending this tour, especially as it ended with a lovely traditional restaurant with us trying yummy tea and bread and a variety of camel milk flavour ice cream!

Abdul was fantastic, very knowledgeable and took the time to tell us all about the history of Dubai. Very prompt and was happy to take photos of us during our tour. Would highly recommended Abdul if you’re looking for a small group tour in great air conditioned transport, refreshments and some food sampling also included during the tour. The ice cream was particularly delicious. Thanks again for a great first day in Dubai !!

I had the most wonderful experience touring Old Dubai by Shakil. The experience was smoothly run, I was picked up in the morning and he took me around the creek, the souks and the Emirati House with Tea. At the end of the tour I was delighted to be served some delicious traditional treats. I was in awe of the beauty and culture within Old Dubai. Shakil was a fantastic host guide. He was kind, took great photos and taught me so much about the history of Dubai. I really enjoyed his company and being toured by him. I highly recommend booking this tour, it's such great value for money!
