We continue on and travel across the brooding expanse of Rannoch Moor, and through Glen Coe. Glen Coe is one of the most incredible places in Scotland. Learn the brutal story of the MacDonald Clan massacre and take in the weeping waterfalls that inhabit this incredible glen. The highland town of Fort William marks the end of Scotland’s oldest and most popular long-distance walks, The West Highland Way. Here, on a clear day, you can take in views of Ben Nevis, the UK’s tallest peak. Overnight stay in Inverness.

Day 2: A Full Day on Skye

You'll have the full day to explore the Isle of Skye. Highlights include the the craggy Cuillin Mountains, the dramatic hills of the Quiraing, and stunning Trotternish Peninsula. You might see seals out in the waves as you walk along the coast, or a stag standing on a hillside. We will visit the capital of Skye, Portree for lunch. Return to Inverness for your overnight stay.

Day 3: Monster Spotting on Loch Ness

Drive along the banks of Loch Ness where you can take a boat tour to Urquhart Castle or do a bit of monster hunting from the shore. Highland Experiences gave us a great 3 day experience around the Highlands and Skye which was informative and put across in a very down to earth and where appropriate humerous manner. Our driver Barry was very sociable and easy to get on with and adapted the trip to suit our preferences, he was also a very careful drive around the windy mountainous roads and we felt very safe with him at the wheel Furthermore the accomodation in Inverness was excellent In summary this was a wonderful trip and excellent value for money

The most comprehensive way to see the Highlands! 3 days were packed with sights and stops all over northern Scotland. But the itinerary was way too rushed. The average time we stopped at each sight was around 15 mins and it didn't allow for a full, leisurely experience. I would have preferred being in fewer locations but for an hour in each beautiful place. And it's a bumpy ride on those narrow highland roads so we need time to decompress on solid ground! The B&B at night was basic accommodations and good breakfast, which is fine because the only thing you do there is sleep after after a long day on a bus.

Overall it was a good trip, we got to see a lot and the accommodation was of a good standard. There wasn't a fixed itinerary which was a shame and some sites were rushed. Would have liked to have stayed in the Isle of Skye rather than inverness. The last day felt a bit wasted as we didn't see anything significant.
