Full description

Escape the bustle of Edinburgh and take a full-day sightseeing tour of Scotland’s magnificent Highlands. Traveling in a small group in a 16-seat Mercedes minibus, get a more intimate experience as you visit Loch Ness, Glencoe Valley, and Rannoch Moor. Drive past Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, and continue to Stirling Castle, and the National Wallace Monument, commemorating Scotland's hero William Wallace. Stop for a coffee at Callander, before crossing the Highland boundary fault line. Learn about the Highland clans, such as the MacGregors, and the famous folk hero, Rob Roy MacGregor. Continue north through Breadalbane, and ascend Rannoch Moor’s heather and peat bogs, dotted with dozens of lochs. Pass the majestic peak of Buachaille Etive Mor, and descend into Glencoe Valley. Drive under Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, before arriving at Fort Augustus on the southern shore of Loch Ness. Look out for the Loch Ness Monster or simply enjoy the scenery on this 2-hour stop, with time for lunch. Pass the mountains of the Cairngorms National Park, then Loch Laggan, and finally the Drumochter Pass. See the 13th-century Blair Castle before heading through the forests of Perthshire to Perth, the medieval capital of Scotland. Cross the famous Forth Bridge on your way back to Edinburgh.

Myself and my 2 daughters had an amazing time. Nik our tour guide is the best storyteller, funny and so sweet! Our views of The Highlands were incredible and the weather was perfect! I would definitely recommend Nik as a guide and hope to meet him again! Angela, Haylee and Alexa. from Chicago

10/10 experience! The views are simply stunning and doing this in a small group is the key. My tour guide Des was the most incredible tour guide I’ve had yet - great storyteller, sense of humor and made us all feel all at home for the short day trip. Although you spend most of the journey in the van, you take plenty of stops to take pics, walk around and see the sights. I loved this tour and would def do again!

Carrie was a amazing guide, funny, knowledgeable, made sure everyone was happy and prepared us for each stop with tips on what to see. Told us plenty of history but also general facts about Scotland, Edinburgh and random things. Great energy!! She was very good at communication, spoke clear and answered all questions. (We went with another company the day before and were not very pleased so this made our day!) Small bus is great too, makes it easier to stop at locations then having to stop at big bus stops. Would for sure recommend and go again!
