Explore one of the great wine-producing areas of France on a small group tour of the Champagne region. Sample the sparkling produce of this world-renowned area, such as the Champagne Taittinger, one of the last Champagne houses to be owned by the original family.  With varietals consisting of 50% pinot noir, 15% Pinot Meunier, and 35% chardonnay, the Taittinger vineyard is an unsurpassed example of a Champagne-style in which chardonnay plays such a significant role. On August 13 I went on the Reims Champagne Tour from Paris. Our guide, Francois, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. The tour was very well organised and I did not feel rushed at all during the day. We had an extensive, behind the scenes tour at Mumms and lovely champagne tasting. Francois gave us an informative tour of magnificent Rheims Cathedral and then sufficient free time for lunch. The afternoon tour of vineyards in the Champagne region and other samples of champagne was also delightful. If you want to mix champagne and culture, this is definitely a tour to consider.

Lovely day! Guided tour of Moet Chandon with a tasting. Then we had lunch and a tasting class at the office which was beautiful. After lunch we visited a family champagne house and saw some lovely vineyards. Best day of our trip yet!

Great tour, guide very knowledgable, relatable and easy to get on with. Covered a lot in the day, we learnt a lot, met some lovely people and had a great time :)
