Everglades National Park: Airboat Tour and Wildlife Show

1. Everglades National Park: Airboat Tour and Wildlife Show

Discover the Everglades National Park, a diverse landscape providing crucial habitats for numerous rare and endangered species. Take an airboat ride, and view alligators, turtles, and even the elusive Florida panther.  After paying the park admission fee, immerse yourself in swampland often referred to as the River of Grass. The park known as such because of the endless prairies of sawgrass that rise three to ten feet above the surface of the water. Encounter lush vegetation of the Everglades which also includes mangroves, cypress, palms, pines, and hardwood hammocks (small islands). The sawgrass is often so dense that travel is only possible through natural water passages. Ride on an airboat, which is designed to operate well in shallow water and marshlands. Propelled by an aircraft-type propeller and powered by either an aircraft or automotive engine, have a fast and fun journey. Complete your visit with a wildlife and alligator show. Get up close with these remarkable creatures in their natural habitat.

6. Everglades National Park: Private 2.5-Hour Photo Safari

The entire Everglades area, including Everglades National Park, is a wonderful place for birding. With over 300 species of birds throughout the year, it is the only park that was established for its biological and ecological considerations rather than its geological features. However, most of the 1.5 million acres in the park are flooded, and essentially out of reach for the average birder and photographer. As the seasons change, migrations and bird populations vary. While you never know what you will encounter, in general you can expect a plethora of shore birds, wading birds, and raptors. Captain Andy was as amazing as he was knowledgeable. We saw some gators, bald eagle, and my new favorite the snail kite. We zipped and whipped through the narrow and shallow passageways adding to the adventure. I loved just zooming across the open water and having the wind blow in my hair. We came out for my nieces birthday and the whole staff really delivered. We got to take pictures with the shaman, feed the gators and mine for gems!! Everyone from the lovely woman who checked us in at the front gate to retails clerks who helped us shop. It was the best time our family is definitely coming back, since some didn't get to make the trip.

Best of the best…I’ve been on many airboat rides, these guys are the best hands down…our guide was amazing, showed us everything he could find and there was a lot of alligators, birds, plants…after our cruise, you go to a huge shed, lots of gators, huge frogs and a beautiful bird are brought out, Tom was so entertaining…we had a blast will definitely come back…
