Full description

Join a comprehensive Florence Opera Duomo tour, perfect for those who want to know the history of the cathedral, Brunelleschi Dome, and other iconic sights of the complex. Discover why Florence is known for its unique Renaissance art and architecture.

Your experience starts by meeting your guide at the central door of the Cathedral of Florence. Then, begin a guided tour where you'll visit the baptistery and Museum of Opera del Duomo, with the original Door of Paradise, Magdalene by Donatello, and Pietà by Michelangelo.

Venture inside the cathedral, where you'll also find the Santa Reparata Crypt. At the end of the tour, your guide will accompany you to the Porta della Mandorla, from where you can independently climb the Brunelleschi Dome.

In this unforgettable place, see the landscape of Florence and the surrounding countryside. From the inside of the Dome, admire the incredible Renaissance frescoes by Giorgio Vasari's Last Judgment, inspired by those by Michelangelo in the Sixtine Chapel.

If you go on a tour of the Duomo, pick this one. Made of Tuscany had a great guide who was punctual, really knowledgeable and it was obvious that Christina knew her history. The climb wasn’t as bad as I thought and the view from the Cupola is breathtaking. The Museo dell’Opera del Duomo is fabulous and my regret is that we couldn’t spend more time admiring the masterpieces there. Of course the Battistero was amazing:) Another reason I would recommend this tour is the very courteous and professional customer service from Angela at the agency. She was always quick to respond to any questions I had. You cannot go wrong if you reserve this tour - really good experience.

Lots of useful information about the origin of the Duomo and background, while climbing the Dome. It's not an easy climb, but that made it all the more fun to do. The view of Florence from the top is incredible! Our gide Leonora was very kind, helpful and funny as well.

The tour was very interesting and the guide good and his explanations clear and comprehensive. But because of the few Italian tourists, just me, they joined me with a Spanish-speaking couple for which the guide had to do a double explanation. This happened to me abroad but never in Italy. The visit to the dome was at a fixed time communicated at the time of the start of the tour so I could not make it due to a commitment made previously. Sin...
