Learn how to make pizza and gelato just like the Italians! In this late afternoon class, your chef will introduce you to the history of these most delicious of Italian creations. With a professional pizza chef, you will bake a pizza called pizzaiolo. Learn how to make tender, flexible yeast dough that stretches to almost paper-thinness, as well as the trick for a flavorful yet light tomato sauce. Even if you bake pizza in your own oven, these techniques are universal and using them really makes a difference. Make your very own pizza - stretch it, sauce it, bake it, slice it. This will be the best pizza you ever tasted, and you made it yourself! After pizza, it’s time for gelato. Your chef will explain why gelato remains Italy's favorite dessert while giving an insight into the gelato culture that continues to grow. Learn about the raw ingredients used for bases and about principles for selecting the best products available. Then, enjoy a presentation and tasting of many of the flavors used in gelato making. You will learn about the development and application of natural colors, heating and freezing techniques and their effects on different ingredients.     Katrina was awesome. There were three student group tables and one teacher table. Student tables can accommodate 6 people each. She taught and showed us how to make pizza dough. And then helped us do it ourselves . Then we learned about gelato while the dough was rising. Then we made some gelato. Added sauce cheese and toppings to the pizza and then baked it. Then we got to eat the gelato and have wine after eating our individual pizzas. Class was great and teacher was great. Totally worth it experience .

    We are currently waiting for our dough to proof as I take a moment to share how enjoyable this class has been. We had the privilege of working with David, who is an exceptional teacher. He explains well and allows for interaction with the group, including opportunities for people to volunteer in front of the group while each of us works from our tables. I am an elementary teacher, so I tend to be more critical of “classes.” We have two children, ages 12 and 9. David was amazing with them and with the group in general. I have yet to taste the food. Despite this, I already highly recommend this class. It has been a joy to spend the evening learning together and meeting new people from around the globe.

    We had a great time, our chef (Tamasamo) was awesome! Our pizza that we made was delicious. A fun evening with the family. The only, I wasn't a fan of. You meet in one location and then walk about 15 mins to the actual place where the cooking class is located.
