Full description

Experience the charm of Tuscany on a day trip to Siena, San Gimignano, and Monteriggioni from Florence. Try a variety of Chianti wines paired with snacks and admire the picturesque Tuscan hills.

Cross the beautiful Chianti hills as you ride south from Florence in an air-conditioned GT bus. Arrive at San Gimignano, a medieval town declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Take time to wind your way through the narrow streets and admire the landscape. Make the second stop at Siena. Explore the Piazza del Campo, famous for the Palio Horse Race and for its splendid examples of Gothic civic architecture. You can also visit the magnificent Palazzo Pubblico.

Finally, visit Monteriggioni and its intact medieval city walls. Then, head to the Chianti area and enjoy postcard-perfect landscapes. Conclude your day at a famous wine estate and taste fine Chianti red wine along with homemade snacks.

Location of the pickup of the bus was okay, a bit out of the way,bus and driver were excellent, tour guides were friendly and informative, a little difficult to hear on board commentary as other passengers kept talking and the sound system wasn't brill, right amount of stops to look around get a coffee, ice cream or a loo stop, lunch offered at Siena very well priced, with or without guide, added bonus of a wine tasting, if you want to experience medieval towns today with all it's history take a tour.

In general, we recommend the experience, because of the comfort of the coach, the attentive and friendly staff and not having to worry about schedules and transfers since everything is done for you. In addition, the start and finish is next to the Santa Maria Novella station. Our guide Jacob has been great, the only thing that we have been in a bus with 81 people (of different nationalities) and they were repeating all the explanations in 3 languages: English, Spanish and French. However, at the first stop, which was Monteriggioni, they only left us a scant 30 minutes and we believe that this is not enough. Then the weather in Siena is correct, but it doesn't allow you to be very calm either. They give you the option of a menu for €15 of regular quality, but at least you have a reservation and the meeting point is in the same restaurant to continue the tour. What we didn't like is that the wine tasting was just after lunch and it didn't come in very easily... Otherwise, we

It's worth getting out of Florence to visit the Tuscan countryside. The tour is very well organized, no delays; the guide is great. Giavanno speaks in three languages. The visit is fairly quick; I regret in the end the visit to the very expensive Chianti cellar, certainly good wines, but too long for my taste.
