Le Petit Parfumeur: Perfume Creation Children in Grasse

1. Le Petit Parfumeur: Perfume Creation Children in Grasse

Discover the architecture of a perfume and the ingredients that compose it with an instructor at Parfumerie Molinard in Grasse. Kids can choose from 18 essences and personalize their 30 ml bottle in this workshop. Let their creativity flow while immersing in the art of French perfume making. Design your own personal fragrance in a perfume boutique, the perfect activity for all the family. Work with a perfume expert, create your own scent, and decorate the bottle. A Creation Molinard expert will interpret your flights of fancy, and help you to compose the perfect olfactory symphony in 30 minutes. It’s rare to find a family business that has come down through the years with its enthusiasm and standards constantly renewed. Created in 1849, Maison Molinard is one of them. In Grasse, the world’s capital of perfume, five successive generations have handed on their emotions through the creation of perfumes. Recognized as a "Living Heritage Company", as a tribute to its rare and ancestral know-how, the company reinvents itself every day with the passion to create. This is a fun and enriching experience for children, as they learn about smells, imagination, and composing something new. They'll also get to decorate their own perfume bottles.

What people are saying about Grasse

This is a great, hands-on activity for children. My five year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the process of smelling all the different scents and writing down her favourites, before measuring out quantities of each using pipettes to create her own bespoke perfume. The instructor was friendly and demonstrative, and it felt like the right length of time to cover each step of the workshop. The only downside is that the stickers used to decorate the bottles didn’t stay on very well. Grasse and the Molinard building are beautiful, and worth a visit in itself if you have a child who loves to smell lots of different fragrances!

We had to wait around a bit and was almost forgotten about, but when seen the experience was fantastic. My two daughters (5 and 11) really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend. Shame they didn’t cover much off on how perfume is made etc but I guess they have to cater for smaller children.

Very fun and educational at the same time

The kids loved it. They left with their creation !!!! Suggestion: make stickers to mark the composition on the bottle.
