Full description

Take a city break in Hanover and discover a mix of old-world charm and green areas and parks. Learn about this city’s history and culture from your guide and relax knowing that private transportation to and from the city is taken care of. Adjust the tour according to your preferences.

Begin by getting picked up from your hotel and get taken to Hanover. First stop off at the 300-year old Herrenhauser Gardens, and enjoy the beauty of the most distinguished Baroque gardens in Europe. Spend a couple of hours exploring the fountains and sculptures as well as the Herrenhausen Palace.

Follow your guide down Herrenhauser Alley to Hanover city center. Take a look at some of the very few buildings that survived the WWII bombings – including the Market Church, which dates back to the 14th century. Check out the Old Town Hall, with its gothic gables and ornamental frieze.

Next, walk towards the castle-like New City Hall. Take in the picturesque landscapes surrounding the building. See the elegant neo-Renaissance building of the Landesmuseum, which hosts 7 centuries of art and history. End at Schützenplatz, home to the Frühlingsfest fairground.
