Lahaina: Turtle Town Snorkel and Whale Watching Cruise

1. Lahaina: Turtle Town Snorkel and Whale Watching Cruise

Spot Hawaii's native marine life in its natural habitat on a snorkel cruise to Turtle Town from Lahaina. Swim past green sea turtles, Moorish idols, and even humpback whales. For beginners, there is an onboard snorkel demonstration before you set out. Enjoy an onboard lunch and drinks. Set sail from Lahaina Harbor towards Turtle Town, aka Mala Wharf (if weather conditions allow). In 1992, a powerful hurricane destroyed Mala Pier. The surviving posts have created an artificial reef and sanctuary where corals and other marine life thrive. Spot Moorish idols, green sea turtles, and saddle wrasse while snorkeling here. If snorkel conditions are not ideal at Turtle Town a.k.a. Mala Wharf, cruise to one of the other premier westside snorkel locations such as Honolua Bay, Airport Beach, or Launiupoko. All of these locations offer an excellent opportunity to see Hawaiian green sea turtles, brightly colored tropical fish, and beautiful coral reef formations. During the whale season (December to April), observe humpback whales as they enjoy the warm Hawaiian waters. This tour segment will include expert narration about the whales and provide a play-by-play commentary of the whales' behavior as you view them.

The experience was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We spent 20 minutes in the cage and that was plenty of time. There were a lot of sharks and they were very close to the cage. The experience was a lot of fun and we do not have any complaints. The shark adventure was exactly as it was advertised. My wife wears glasses and cannot see without them. She cannot snorkel with her glasses but Shark Adventure has prescription snorkel masks so my wife was able to see the sharks clearly without her glasses. I would recommend this to someone who would like a different kind of animal adventure. Thank you. Several weeks before going to Hawaii, I booked the shark swim for a Thursday. Monday before I phoned them and asked if everything was set for our swim. They said a weather front was moving in on Wednesday evening and they probably could not do the swim on Thursday. I asked if I could switch my date to Wednesday and they accommodated me while I was on the phone with them.

Had a blast. The crew were professional, happy and eager to give us a beautiful sunset cruise. First time on a catamaran and we enjoyed seeing whales breach in the distance! Overall great experience! Great Prosecco and dinner included!

Wonderful excursion around the Waikiki day. My husband and son loved it. It was a partly cloudy day with a few raindrops, but the tour was really fun anyway. This awesome see you life and love the views of the shore.
