What people are saying about Hilton Head Island

Hitched a ride on the ferry with family of five and our own bicycles. Pleasant morning boat ride - 45-50 min - to Freeport. Upon disembarking, we rode along Old Haig Point Road (paved, level and pleasant), left onto Church Road to First Union African Baptist Church onto a dirt road. Right onto School Road - another dirt road, but a bit tricky riding in the sand there, made golf carts look tempting - quick stop at the school house (where Pat Conroy taught for a year and wrote about in the Water is Wide) which is now a coffee shop, then left onto Beach Road past the Silver Dew Winery/Bloody Point lighthouse, to the beach itself. Right onto Pappy's Landing/Oak Grove - paved all the way back, so much less sand riding than we thought (a plus). Got back with just enough time to get bikes on the boat and to get ice cream. Were it just me and my wife, all day on the island would have been great, but it was just the right length of ride/touring with three kids ages 14, 11 and 8.

Awesome experience. We have been 3 times now, each time better than the last. Our boat ride there and back were great. We have seen many dolphins on this tour. The beach at Daufuskie is very pretty. Ill be back in coup years! Cheers y’all!

We enjoyed our ferry trip to Daufuskie Island. The guide was very knowledgeable of the area and informative of our surroundings, which made the ride enjoyable. The speaker was clear and not muffled like some can be.

It was a very relaxing enjoyable trip to Savannah and back. I highly recommend the trolley tour around the city. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and obviously loves his city.

Transportation was very clean and not crowded. Captain Pete was great as well as 1st mate John B. Very informative and engaging. We enjoyed our excursion very much.
