Full description
A Bosphorus cruise is one of the best things to do in Istanbul. Get on the boat and start discovering the long waterway which separates Europe and Asia. Discover Istanbul’s main attractions, including magnificent palaces, ancient castles and famous hills and parks, as well as spectacular seaside residences from different centuries while passing under famous bridges. You will start your tour from the Old City in Sultanahmet and cruise along the European side until the 2nd Bosphorus bridge and return back along the Asian coast. You will pass by Dolmabahce Palace, Ciragan Palace, Ortaköy Mosque, Bosphorus Bridge, Rumeli Fortress and Beylerbeyi Palace. You will aslo get to see some historical landmarks from a distance such as Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Maiden Tower, and Galata Tower.

The tour was generally okay, unfortunately there were far too many people for a ship that we preferred to stay on the lower deck and ended up staying in the stern of the boat. The view was great there, but the engine was intoxicatingly loud - conclusion - a great thing but it was mass production - and it could have been cheaper on site than over the Internet. A lot of things would be cheaper, especially on the Asian side!!!

It was a good experience. The group was about 20 people. The boat was pretty big and it was just us so there was plenty of room to spread out and not feel overcrowded. The views of city were amazing especially with the sun setting. The only issues were that you couldn’t hear the in-person guide over the sound of the boat and the voucher code for the audio guide wasn’t offered. It wasn’t a very social group and the guide didn’t provide the energy to make it more exciting. At the very least, for the low price you get a very scenic boat ride so it was worth it. Just don’t expect to learn much about what you’re seeing.

The boat tour was very nice, unfortunately it rained. The meeting point with the guide was not well described, we should have reported to the tourist office in the café, unfortunately that wasn't in the description, so we missed our boat. After a phone call we were able to take the tour on the next boat. Unfortunately, we no longer received the code for the German audio guide.
