Full description

Join professional wranglers on a 2-hour or 4-hour horseback ride through the trails of Bridger-Teton National Forest on this tour from Jackson Hole. See stunning views of the Grand Teton mountain range and ride along a winding river.

Start your adventure at one of the oldest dude ranches in the USA. Choose between a 2-hour ride or extend your wilderness adventure with a 4-hour tour. Meet your wrangler and guide, and get your riding gear.

Before heading to the trails, meet your friendly horse and learn how mount and dismount. Practice handling your horse with the reins and learn to control how fast your horse trots and how to stop, start, and steer. Take a test trot on the ranch property.

Venture into the Aspen Tree Groves on horseback. Ride through the Bridger-Teton National Forest, looking for wildlife and local flora. Follow the horse trails and admire panoramic views of the Tetons.

Continue down into the Buffalo Valley to ride along a lazy river. Return to the ranch with a deeper connection to nature and an understanding of the Wild West.

Great trail ride, beautiful scenery and well trained horses. Concerns were with the guide who was quite rude. Didn’t talk much to us as riders and seemed annoyed at questions we asked. After the ride, she abandoned us basically without saying goodbye or thank you or anything along those lines. Beautiful ranch and everyone else we ran into was super friendly. Maybe guide was having a bad day.

The reservation process through Get Your Guide was excellent. The ranch had our reservation and our check-in went smoothly (signing the waiver). The ranch had some confused customers show up with reservations on different times/dates, so it took some time for them to check everyone in and divide the large group into two group rides instead of the one scheduled ride in order to accommodate everyone. However, the wranglers were pleasant, all customers were polite and patient, the horses were fantastic, and the scenery was beautiful. New/nervous riders beware that there was only one wrangler for our group of 10 riders. The wrangler led the ride with no wrangler bringing up the rear. There was no mid-ride cinch check as we've had at other ranches during two hour rides. I'm not sure if all this was normal, or if it so happened just because they didn't have enough wranglers available to send out 2 rides at once. Don't forget to bring cash if you want to tip your wrangler.

I was super impressed by the quality of the horses...normally when I book a trail ride the horses kinda' bite on each other or make me nervous in other ways but these horses were super mellow and sweet which made our ride terrific, even with an inexperienced 7 year old (and our large party). Thank you Heart Six Ranch! :)
