Bali: UNESCO World Heritage Sites Small Group Tour

1. Bali: UNESCO World Heritage Sites Small Group Tour

After getting picked up at your hotel, begin your tour with a visit to the 18th-Century Royal Water Temple of Pura Taman Ayan - the largest and most impressive architectural edifice of its type on the island, according to UNESCO. Then head to the Water Temple of Pura Ulun Danu Bratan on the edge of Lake Bratan. Have your breath taken away by the marvelous views as you stand before the crater lake, regarded as the ultimate origin of every spring and river in Bali. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before moving on to the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, one of Bali’s oldest and best examples of terraced paddy landscapes. See first-hand how local communities still practice sustainable farming here and experience the resilience and vibrancy of Balinese culture. Finally, enjoy a fiery sunset at the dramatic Tanah Lot Temple, which means ‘land in the sea’ in the local tongue. Stand before the 16th-century edifice on the edge of the water and soak up the atmosphere of this temple where people have been worshipping the sea gods for centuries.

What people are saying about Jatiluwih

THIS IS SUCH A VALUE FOR MONEY DAY OUT AT $150 FOR 4. FOR SIMILAR ALL DAY TOURS IN BALI UBUD & GATES OF HEAVEN etc I PAID 4X THAT AMOUNT. The 2 water temples (one on a picturesque lake) were simply beautiful and Tanah Lot was amazing but disappointingly you cannot climb the steps up to the temple, so you can only admire it from around the base, at sea level. There is a holy water spring at the base also. The views on the approach from the car park are unreal. The Rice Terraces were really extensive and the lunch spot was very nice overlooking them - we paid about $50 Aus for 4 of us as lunch was not included. Our guide Senegal was very friendly and informative but he was a smoker and his car did smell strongly of cigarettes so that's a consideration (esp if you suffer from asthma). Still, he was an excellent driver & took us everywhere safely & confidently in crazy traffic. He also took many amazing photos for us and was a pleasure to be around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Driver/guide Subaja is very safe driver besides also knowledgeable with the history of the sites we visited. Unfortunately for us, it was raining very heavily when we arrived at Jatuluwih rice terrace and we could not explore the area and we also could not witness the sunset at Tanah Lot as it was heavily overcast, perhaps better luck in future visits for weather. Overall still enjoyed the tour.

Made was an excellent guide: fun, always with a smile and ready to explain the details of each location as well as sharing interesting sides of the culture. We were a very small, quiet group. The day was a bit rainy and throughout all the location distances it became a bit long, but thanks to our guide I really enjoyed every place and the possibility to see them all together in one day.

The tour was excellent! Above all, our driver Senegal was always helpful to us. Senegal informed us in great detail about the temples and answered all of our questions excellently! We can only recommend the tour!

Topan really knew his facts, answered our questions, and made sure we were allright the whole tour! Loved the temples and ricefields, so beautiful!
