We ended up being the only 2 people on the tour and had the BEST experience! Alessandro was fantastic, he gave us pieces of history of each area we walked through, gave us time to take pictures, and even took us into Basilica di Santa Marie to admire the mosaics! We walked throughout Trastevere (for Suppli and Pasta of our choosing), over the Tiber Island, which I didn’t expect and was so happy we got to, as this was something I wanted to experience, and into the Jewish Quarter! There are ruins there that I wasn’t aware of, and a sad history that Alessandro shared with us. In the Jewish Quarter we tried fried artichoke and then falafel. After that, we walked to a cute Gelateria by Largo di Torre Argentina, which was a place we didn’t know we needed to see until we saw it. Overall a fantastic experience, with a 100% recommendation to go and do this! Getting to walk through Trastevere was an amazing experience and we’ll definitely go to the neighbourhood again! Thank you Alessandro!!

A fantastic tour! Before the tour, I expected to be eating a lot of delicious food and to feel uncomfortably stuffed afterwards. But, thanks to our warm and knowledgeable guide, Luca (who felt like a friend by the tour's end), I ate delicious food typical to the Trastevere and Jewish Ghetto areas of Rome and learned all kinds of fascinating things about Rome and Italy in general. It was a scrumptious culinary and cultural connection. Well worth the money. And just the perfect amount of food.

Our whole experience was outstanding. Our guide gave us extra special personal experience. He had a great sense of humor, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the area. Money well spent. He even helped us to find the route back to our hotel. Also he helped us understand the train system for an excursion we were going on the next day! The food was tasty and wine was good, but it was the guide that made this trip exceptional.
