As you continue the tour, you'll take a leisurely stroll through the Historic Charleston City Market and delve into the history of the African slave trade's impact on the local cuisine. Discover how classic ingredients such as benne seeds and collard greens were introduced to the local diet and have since become a staple of Lowcountry cuisine. Of course, no visit to the Lowcountry would be complete without sampling some of the freshest seafood our city offers, including our famous Shrimp & Grits and She-crab soup. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a scoop of handmade ice cream crafted from scratch using locally sourced ingredients from Lowcountry farmers, purveyors, and chefs. It's creamy, flavorful, and simply irresistible! As with all our tours, there's our delicious Secret Dish.

Wonderful history tour while eating small bites at perfectly picked locations. Our guide Jessie explained the connection of the food choices to life in Charleston. I’d recommend this trip to anyone looking for a fun filled and very filling activity .

Jess was a great tour guide with lots of info on the foods we were enjoying, the establishments we were in and the history of the area. Truly a very informative & delicious tour! We’ve already been back to two of the restaurants since the tour!

Jess was nothing short of amazing with her food choices and her vast knowledge of Charleston! Even a tropical storm didn’t spoil this experience. I would highly recommend this tour.
