It wasn't exactly clear where the tour would begin from and only after we called to confirm the forecasted rain wasn't going to be a problem did I learn the pick up transportation would pass on our direction or else we would have made our way to the meeting point. The tour was about 30 to 40 mins from our pick up but the time was nicely spent getting to know half of our fellow cruise members The other group joined us and we were on our way through the back waters being punted along by 2 Chaps. It's was very idyllic the guide was informative but not overbearing and we were able to take in the nature and wildlife. About half way along we stopped to see how the road used to bind the wooden rails on the boat was spun and how coconut matting or roofing was woven as well as enjoy a cup of tea. Finally we headed back to the start and enjoyed a pleasant vegetarian lunch. The ride back seemed shorter & soon enough we had to say bye to our new friends and were back where we were picked up from.

The driver who took us to the starting point of the tour drove very safely and was incredibly friendly. The tour was fantastically beautiful and the guides tried very hard to ensure that the (small) group had a lovely stay. The food was very tasty and authentic. A very successful trip!

Nice tour if you like a quiet boat trip. The guide was a very sweet woman who was happy to explain the nature and local products of Kerala. After the boat trip I had a super tasty home-made lunch and then I was safely dropped off at my hotel.
