  • Las Vegas Strip: The High Roller at The LINQ Ticket

    1. Las Vegas Strip: The High Roller at The LINQ Ticket

There's no better way to enjoy the views of Las Vegas than from the top of the High Roller. This observation wheel, which stands over 550 feet tall (around 168 meters), provides the perfect viewpoint to see everything that’s going on along the Strip. See for yourself during a 30-minute revolution in one of the High Roller’s 28 air-conditioned compartments. The High Roller even beats out the London Eye as the biggest observation wheel in the world. During your ride, an amusing audio tour will cover the history of Las Vegas, perfectly timed to point out the area’s landmarks as they appear during the rotation. The High Roller is located at the heart of Las Vegas’s LINQ, a lively promenade featuring bars, shops, and restaurants. This leaves you in the perfect place to continue your evening after experiencing Las Vegas from above.

We booked at the last minute online and were able to get our tickets on our apple wallet, made for an easy bypass of a very long line! The experience was great with a slight issue upon returning to ground, there was an electrical issue that delayed us 10-15 minutes and some of the passengers got pretty ugly and it kinda left a negative feeling at the end. The views were great though!! Ride lasted about an hour w the delay.

  • Anytime Fast-Track Ticket: FLY LINQ Zipline

    3. Anytime Fast-Track Ticket: FLY LINQ Zipline

Start by zooming up an elevator on Las Vegas Boulevard to experience the city from new heights during both sunny days and sparkling nights. If you're a thrill-seeker looking for a rush of excitement, this ticket is for you: on the FLY LINQ Zipline, you'll travel over 1,000 feet and reach speeds of up to 35 m/h. Choose the standard seated position or, if you really want to feel like you're flying, the superhero position. Strap in and hurtle down a long zipline towards the base of the tallest observation wheel in the world, the High Roller. Soar over the most dynamic open-air shopping, dining, and entertainment district at the heart of the Strip for impressive views and an unforgettable ride.

It was really fun thing to do. I thought the ziplining would of been longer for the $75.00 price. I've been ziplining with a longer zipline cable. People that has never experienced ziplining. They will enjoy themselves

    ...

We enjoyed the trip, but was disappointed that the mask mandate wasn’t enforced ( or at least mentioned) when we were on the bus, because there several people not wearing masks. And that the tour guide didn’t set a good example and wear hers. Also, it was suppose to be a 3 hour tour and was only a little over 2. In the description it said we would see the volcano erupt and see the fountain show and we definitely were disappointed we didn’t get to see those because that was the deciding factor for us taking the tour.

My husband and I booked this day trip from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon and we would highly recommend it. It was a very long day but worth it. We got picked up at 6:10am at a nearby hotel. This company was easy to communicate with. We all had to hand sanitize and get a temperature check before getting on the bus. Everyone was great about wearing their masks on the bus so we both felt safe in terms of COVID. There was a bathroom on the bus in case of emergencies but we stopped every 1-2hrs for either food or a restroom break. Lunch was a sandwich, chips and cookies but you could purchase food at several of the locations we stopped at. We picked up lunch very early (around 8:30am) so some people ate right away and others saved it.We had the option of a guided tour in the Grand Canyon (an extra $20 per person) but chose to go on our own. The path was very easy to follow ourselves. There was a free shuttle if you didn't want to walk. All in all, an excellent trip.

Las Vegas Day Trip FAQ

What transportation options are best for my day trip?

Due to the distances and landscapes involved, and the lack of other transportation options, we highly recommend taking a car for your trip.
  • • Las Vegas day trips by train

Options for Las Vegas day trips by train are extremely limited and are usually the most inconvenient form of transport around the area.

  • • Las Vegas day trips by bus

Bus tours are a great way to visit one of these destinations near Las Vegas. Travel times are typically about the same as for a car: Try a hop-on hop-off bus or guided tour to make the most out of the journey. Buses frequently go to Death Valley, Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam, and Red Rock Canyon. All buses stop at the Grand Canyon.

  • • Las Vegas day trips by car

For traveling across the deserts around Las Vegas, a car makes the most sense and is the fastest and most flexible option. Death Valley, Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, and the Grand Canyon can all be reached by car.

Should I take a guided tour for my day trip?

Due to the size and scale of the region and its many hidden secrets, a guided tour outside Las Vegas can provide visitors with an understanding they likely would not get on their own. Whether you’re learning about the intricacies of the Hoover Dam or discovering how the earth was shaped at the Grand Canyon, having an expert guide can make a world of difference on your trip.

What should I pack for my day trip?

As Las Vegas sits in the middle of the deserts of Nevada, it’s best to dress for arid climates and sparse shade. Wear loose, breathable clothing and a hat and sunglasses. Be sure to bring good sunscreen and carry plenty of water to stay hydrated. Of course, keep a light jacket or windbreaker on hand for when the desert temperatures drop at night.

Overall rating

4.6 / 5

based on 3,454 reviews

This tour was amazing and perfect for first time kayakers. It became a little tiring due to unexpected high winds, but I'd do it again. Our guide, Zach, was terrific and very patient and understanding as several of us went astray on multiple occasions. I didn't feel rushed or like a burden. He took time to allow us breaks to rest and take in the beautiful scenery. He also provided snacks and water at every stop. He took plenty of pictures of us to ensure we had the perfect backdrops and some good action photos. Just a heads up, the "cave" isn't very large at all but still worth the visit for beautiful pics with the breathtaking water color. Best time to go for perfect sunlight in the cove is approx between noon and 3 PM. Even if you miss the window, the experience itself is worth it. Riverdogz was the name of the company.

The tour guide Robert was fantastic! without him we wouldn't have known anything about what we were seeing.I felt bad for our guide at the end.We were suppose to be back at 2:00.one man kept us waiting for 50 minutes.we all thought after 30 minutes Robert should have left him.But he was very calm and said he couldn't.

We had an amazing experience and we love our guide, Ita. He is awesome, knowledgeable and so helpful and very nice. We enjoyed the tour so much and we’ll be doing another one again in the future.

Fue una experiencia inolvidable, la recomiendo 100%. Agradezco a nuestra driver y guía NENA, una persona muy agradable, jovial y atenta. Gracias Nena por tan excelente servicio.

Everything was excellent! Definitely recommend this attraction.
