Christ Church Cathedral Entrance Ticket & Self-Guided Tour

3. Christ Church Cathedral Entrance Ticket & Self-Guided Tour

Journey back in time by almost 1,000 years as you enter Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin. Built circa 1028, the sacred monument is perfectly located in the heart of the city's medieval center and features a beautiful interior and the largest crypt in Ireland. Constructed in the early 12th century, and the oldest structure still in use in Dublin today, the crypt is home to some fascinating memorials and curiosities. Look at the treasury, and see the mummified cat and rat. According to cathedral lore, the cat chased the rat into the pipe of an organ and both became stuck. They are mentioned by James Joyce in "Finnegans Wake" and are known locally - with typical Dublin wit - as "Tom and Jerry." Follow in the footsteps of the pilgrims who beat a path to the church in the Middle Ages. Learn about the important collection of relics in the church. Admire the stained glass windows and medieval floor tiles of the nave.

Dublin: Downtown Doughnut Guided Walking Tour With Tastings

5. Dublin: Downtown Doughnut Guided Walking Tour With Tastings

Our tour begins near St. Stephen’s Green at The Rolling Donut, one of Dublin’s original doughnut shops. The Rolling Donut has an amazing selection of doughnuts to sample and you can see many of them in the photo above. While we’re there, we’ll try some of their signature flavors and talk a bit about the history of Dublin and the surrounding neighborhood. From there, we’ll walk up Grafton street on our way to visit Molly Malone and learn a bit about how she fits into the history of Dublin. At our second stop, we’ll try some traditional Irish churros . Believe me, churros might not be traditional to Dublin, but these churros are delicious nonetheless. Walking through Temple Bar, we’ll make our way to our third stop, which is one of the best doughnut shops you’ll ever visit in Dublin or elsewhere. Make sure to pace yourself at this point, because we have one last stop to see. After crossing the River Liffey and taking in the beautiful sites along the river, we’ll make our last stop at the Hot Donut. We hope you can join us on our doughnut adventure. We look forward to hosting you soon!

Dublin: The 7 Wonders of the City Exploration Game

6. Dublin: The 7 Wonders of the City Exploration Game

Explore the Dublin buried beneath your feet, a Dublin of English invaders, run with an iron fist by the Catholic Church and built by the Vikings. Uncover their stories by playing a quest with your friends, significant other, or family. Each clue will lead you from one place to another, giving you exact directions, so you won't need a map, a GPS, or a guide. When you solve it and guess the answer, the secret story of that place is unlocked. After you book the quest, you’ll receive your access code by email to be used in the app. The tour will take you up to two hours to complete, but there’s no time limit, so go at your own pace. You won't need a guide, just download the app, go to the starting point and be ready to begin the adventure. If you are a large group, one person can purchase access for the entire group by selecting the number of people in the group. All group members will be able to play the city game on their smartphones. Alternatively, each person can purchase their own ticket. You can play as a group and solve the clues together as you walk. Or you can split into smaller groups/teams and compete against the other groups. Each person can also play on their own, separate from the group and meet the group at the end.
