    Full description

    Start your arctic adventure with a convenient hotel pickup and make your way to the husky farm. Be greeted by the friendly and excited barks of the dogs as you arrive and spend some time getting to know the huskies and learning about their lifestyle.

     

    Receive a basic introduction to sledding and learn how to control your sled and your team of huskies. Time to release the musher in you.

    Enjoy the Lappish countryside as you follow your guide and ride along snowy trails on the back of a sled, your huskies excitedly leading the way. Make the most of a break at the halfway mark on your sledding tour and take some photos. Marvel at the magical scenery and soak up the spectacular views.

     

    After your break, set out back towards the husky farm. Enjoy a warm drink once you arrive back at the farm and relax for a little while before being transferred back to your accommodation.

      We were lucky and were allowed to snowmobile for 45 minutes because the track for the sleds was still finished due to a lot of fresh snow. The huskies were very trusting and the sledding was fun too. However, in retrospect, we found the price for this activity to be quite steep.

      This was a fun excursion because you got to drive the sled yourself. At the Snowmobile park we all got special overalls against the cold. There are also extra mittens that you can use. In a van we drove to a husky farm in about 20 minutes. There we had to wait quite a long time until dogs were available again for the ride of about 50 minutes. There was a cozy hut with a fireplace for those waiting and also outside toilets. After a good instruction from the guide, we set off with a snowmobile in the lead. The rest of the sleds followed with 6 dogs per sled. The pace is not too fast and the sleds slide in a kind of track. So pretty safe. Afterwards cuddling dogs and warm berry juice with Lappish cake. Very successful!

      A wonderful activity with time to enjoy the sleigh ride. It took me a long time to choose the activity because I didn't want a quick or rushed ride that I couldn't enjoy the walk and at the end meet the dogs. I hit the nail on the head when I chose this one. Everything perfect and with more than time.
